This material is highly conductive, matching the conductivity of the best electrolytes currently available on the market. The material contains no organic material, so there is no possibility of side reactions. This electrolyte is conductive when it is in a solid state, and it is not flammable. The material is manufactured from inexpensive, earth-abundant elements and is easy to manufacture. Since this electrolyte is a plastic crystal, it is not brittle in a solid state. Additionally, the electrolyte is stable in the presence of lithium metal and lithium intercalate anodes. This innovation is one of the only available electrolytes that match all the criteria of a good electrolyte.
