Vice President of Business Development for Life Sciences

Mike Lang and a team of business development, patent, and marketing professionals work to commercialize ASU technologies originating in the life sciences. He joined Skysong Innovations in October 2018, bringing 30 years of experience in product development, venture investing, and startup formation.

Most recently, Mike was Chief Product Development Officer at Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT), which managed a $300 million venture fund designed to accelerate the progression of new cancer drugs, diagnostics, and therapies from the laboratory into clinical practice.

Prior to joining CPRIT, Mike was the founder and CEO of NanoVision Diagnostics, a cancer diagnostics company, working with research universities to identify technologies suitable for commercialization. Previously he was President of Galt Medical, a provider of interventional cardiology products, and was Vice President of business development at BioEnterprise, where he developed commercialization plans, negotiated license agreements, and raised venture funding for the startup and growth of early-stage health care firms.

Mike holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Northern Arizona University and an M.B.A. from Arizona State University.
